SMS - Text Messages
Wings enables you to send out SMS's (short text messages) using your mobile phones. This helps you to communicate directly with customers, suppliers, employees etc directly and inexpensively.
Examples
SMS can be used to send Alerts, Notifications, Reminders, to run campaigns etc. Common examples:
- Delivery Intimations
- Payment Reminders
- Stock Availability Notification
- Promotions and Discounts Campaign
- Salary Payment notifications
- Birthday/Anniversary Greetings
Two Types
SMS can be sent of two types:
- General - to a group of people, with standard text
- With Content - to specific individuals, with specific data relevant to each individual. This is done from Reports. In this, data from the reports can be included in each SMS, like individual party's amount pending etc.
User Defined Text
Wings makes it possible for users to send SMS's with their own text.
Mode
Wings sends SMS's using a mobile phone or a GSM Modem which is connected to your computer.
The mobile numbers of the addressees are picked up from the masters.
