Wings Reports Designer is a great tool, which enables you to configure reports in a manner of your choice, easily and quickly. With the Wings Reports Designer, you can get all the analysis you desire from your system. It helps you configure any report in as many ways as you wish and save it for future use. Changes once made to reports are saved and can be re-used later. Broadly, Wings Reports Designer offers the following features:

Manage Columns

Wings allows you to configure columns of reports in many ways. You can

• Hide columns which you do not require
• Change column width -simply drag the column to change the width. Wings auto-saves the changes
• Re-arrange the column sequence - You can do this by dragging and dropping columns to the desired positions.
• Add fonts and colours
• Change caption (ie. column title)
• Apply Word-wrapping to data in reports

Sort

You can sort any report on any criteria, applying ascending or descending sort orders to report columns and rearrange report data. You may also apply sort preference along with sequence of sorting on multiple columns.

Group

You may group any report on any field, to view data in a summarized or detailed manner based on the grouped field. For example, if you group reports by date, you can get expanded or collapsed reports for each date.

Filters

Wings enables you to filter reports based on criteria. This allows you to get any item of information in your system easily. You may use operators such as >, <, =, etc. and obtain filtered data of your choice.

You can also take conditional reports based on any criteria on any column by applying Filters.

Tree and T-Forms (Horizontal) Reports

You can now take reports in tree view i.e. in the order in which your masters are grouped.

Financial Statements are available in T-Form, i.e., horizontal format at the same time.

Matrix Reports

A powerful feature of the Reports Designer is the ability to help you generate Pivot-type analysis. You can transpose rows and columns of a report to generate a matrix view of the report. This can be done in a very detailed manner with several options.

You may use this to generate reports such as product-wise month-wise sales analysis etc.

Excel, Text, PDF, E-Mailing

Wings is tightly integrated with MS Office. You can export reports to MS Excel or as Text files, which you can email. You can also export reports and documents as PDF files.

Views

All changes you make to an existing report using the Wings Report Designer will appear as new Views in adjacent tabs. This results in the existing report and several views existing at the same time for any report. This powerful feature allows you to manipulate the reports in any manner of your choice.

Save

You can save any changes you make to a report under a name of your choice. The saved reports appear on the Wings menu as choices for you to use later.

Export Reports

Wings user-defined reports which are saved, can also be exported. You can, for example, export user-defined reports (configured reports) and import them at your other branches or locations.

Printing Reports

Wings helps in effective printing of reports. You can

• Print reports in Draft (DOS) mode
• Print in Windows graphics mode
• Take a Preview before printing
• Set custom page sizes and margins
• Add custom header or footer text for any report
• Have a choice of text wrapping, printing gridlines, serial numbers etc.
• Control column widths at the time of printing
• Print labels,, barcodes etc from reports

Reports in Dashboard

The Reports Designer allows you to add default or configured reports to the Dashboard for instant access. You can

• Add reports as Favourites, which you can access frequently
• Maintain separate Groups for reports
• Obtain instant information from any report by adding any column of any report to Quick Info.
• Set auto refresh parameters, to update information periodically[this option is removed]
• Configure the above for every user
