Dashboard Wizard
The dashboard wizard helps you to create custom tabs and elements and pin them to the dashboard. It helps you with guided steps in creating various components such as a bar/pie graphs, pivots, grids, guages, quick info etc.



All reports in Wings can be converted to graphs or charts to present the data pictorially. The new modified dashboard lets you to do variety of things:

  • Represent any report graphically as charts and
  • Pin them to dashboard.
  • Click on graphs to drilldown to obtain a deeper view of the data.
  • Represent data as Bar, Line or Pie graphs.
Guages helps you to understand how fast things are moving. Any report can be represented as a guage and can be pinned to the Dashboard.



Any report in Wings can be converted to Pivot and can be pinned to the Dashboard. The pivots can be linked to any related componened in the dashboard such as the graph, quick info etc. Drilldowns from the pivot refreshes related components automatically.



Specify conditions and filter data to represent. You can specify multiple conditions on dashboard items to filter data. You can use operators such as Contains, >, <.>=,

For example, you can show a graph of sales made by executives more than 5000.

Apply sorting on any item of the dashboard. You can sort the items in ascending or descending and with priority.

You can drilldown by clicking on items on the dashboard to have a deep view of the data. For example, you can click on a graph to see the list of products sold at a branch.

Custom Tabs

You can customize the dashboard by adding new tabs and elements.

For example, you can add named “Daily Sales” and items such as graphs, quick info. etc. to analyse the sales happening at each of your branch.


The dashboard items can be refreshed manually whenever required. All the components of the tab you refresh will automatically fetch new values.

Reports Designer

Wings offers you a large set of great, ready to use reports. Reports that tell you more about your business than you knew. Reports come with great depth, flexibility, are fast and printable.

Wings Reports Designer is the best-in-class tool to help you get a great insight into your business, and an in-depth analysis to help you make more informed decisions and help you eventually run your business better.

You can now do more with your reports. It gives you much flexibility to take reports. The new views may be based on several operations you may do on the reports including sorting, grouping, filtering, formulae etc. You may also save the changed report views to the menu for future use. It enables you to generate many new views of all reports and modify them exactly as you desire. You can do pivot analysis on any report and much more. You are empowered with a large number of options to work with your reports.


All changes you make to an existing report using the Wings Report Designer will appear as new ‘Views’. This results in the existing report and several views existing at the same time for any report. This powerful feature allows you to manipulate the reports in any manner of your choice.

You can save any changes you make to a report under a name of your choice. The saved reports appear in the Wings menu as choices for you to use later.


Manage Columns
You can manage columns in reports as desired.

  • Hide and unhide columns
  • Drag and drop column width changes
  • Re-arrange column sequence
  • Fonts and colours
  • Change column titles
  • Word-wrapping

You can sort any report on any criteria, applying ascending or descending sort orders to report columns and rearrange report data.You may also apply sort preference along with sequence of sorting on multiple columns.

You may group any report on any field, to view data in a summarized or detailed manner based on the grouped field. For example, if you group reports by date, you can get expanded or collapsed reports for each date.

Filter reports based on any criteria. Get any item of information in your system easily. Use operators such as >, <, =, etc. and obtain filtered data of your choice.

Conditional Reports
You can also take conditional reports based on any criteria on any column by applying Filters.

Tree and T-Forms (Horizontal) Reports

You can take reports in tree view, ie, in the order in which your masters are grouped.

Financial Statements are available in T-Form, i.e., horizontal format at the same time.

Excel, Text, PDF, E-Mailing
Wings is tightly integrated with MS Office. You can export reports to MS Excel or as Text files, which you can email. You can also export reports and documents as PDF files for emailing.


Wings helps you to configure any standard report as desired. The changes applied are generated as new ‘views’. A modified report can be saved to the menu with a desired name for future use.

You may add the following types of data to reports which is virtually anything you would want.

Special Columns
You can add special columns to reports like a user-defined text column, an editable column (allows to add text after the column is added in the report), image column, etc.

Formula Columns
You may apply formulae on existing columns and get the results included in the report. The formula builder helps you to easily add formulae of your choice.

Master Columns
You may add master related columns in a report such as the city or phone number of a customer, group to which the master belongs, code etc.

Date Columns
Add various date columns in a report such as the transaction date and time, month and year, current date etc. You may also add a user-defined date column which helps you to add a date of your choice. Additionally, there are more columns you may choose to add such as the difference between two date values in the report, total days column, week number of a give date etc.

Transaction Fields
If you wish to add any field from a transaction to a report, you may do so. By adding transaction fields to reports, you can enrich the reports unimaginably.

Export Reports
Wings user-defined reports which are saved, can also be exported. You can, for example, export user-defined reports (configured reports) and import them at your other branches or locations, without having to redesign the whole stuff.

Business Intelligence with Pivots

The powerful Pivot tool can do magic with your data. Get the most unique insight into your business. The unique Pivot helps you analyse any data by any number of parameters, as you want, on the fly. The tool helps you generate any report as an Excel type pivot. You can transpose rows and columns of a report to generate a matrix view of the report. This can be done in a very detailed manner with several options.

Take any report, and click on the Pivot button. Example: Analyse your sales by geographical regions, sales hierarchy, products, customers, period etc. Immediately change the orders and take a fresh report, generate a product-wise month-wise sales analysis etc.

Graphs Designer

The Graphs Designer allows you to instantly configure charts from all or any reports of your choice. You can:

  • Give your own titles
  • Select data columns from reports to be drawn
  • Show/hide gridlines
  • Specify whether to show legends.
  • Specify legend alignment
  • Graphs are great tools for understanding the big picture of your business easily. And to present data in a summarized manner.

You can also add favourite Graphs (frequently used) to Dashboard for quick and instant view.

Forms Designer

The Forms Designer is another great utility which allows you to design templates to print your invoices, cheques, documents, labels and reports – just the way you want. Quickly, with an easy-to-use graphic interface.

The Forms Designer helps you to design templates of any kind – simple or complex, for any transaction and save them for printing.

  • Design and save unlimited templates. For example, you may design templates for a Sales Invoice as “Sale Invoice – Exempted”, “Tax Invoice”, “Outstation Sale Invoice” etc.
  • Choose templates to print when a transaction is saved or from a report after the transaction is saved.
  • Set one or more templates as default. The default templates are automatically printed.
  • Print a transaction with default templates or select from other templates to print
  • See a preview before you print.
  • Just not the transaction templates, the Forms Designer also enables you to design additional documents that needs to be printed along the transaction templates, such as the list of terms and conditions, a gate pass that needs to be printed along with a delivery challan etc.

The various options of the Forms Designer are discussed below:

Page Settings
Set page height and width. Design invoices that fit to any page size – A4, Legal, A5 etc.

Draw Borders
You can set borders for fields such as – Single, Double, Right,Left etc.

Custom field sizes and positions
Adjust height and width of fields. You can drag and drop the fields in the designer to automatically change the position where the field content will be printed.

Add custom header and footer
Add your own header and footer text. You can:

  • Print static text such as your company name, address etc.
  • Print information from masters: You can add master properties such as customer address, contact details etc. from masters and print them in the header.
  • You can add your own text to the footer, such as the Terms & Conditions etc. Or, display page totals, page number etc.

Add Images
Add pictures to your print templates. Images such as your company logo, product pictures, employee image etc.

Format the content in many ways

Various formatting options lets you to customize the way the content is printed:

  • Customise the font style of your print template by choosing various available fonts and font styles – bold, italic etc.
  • Set foreground and background colours of the text that prints
  • Set the alignment of the text that prints – Left, Right, Center, Top Left, etc.
  • Set the comma style and decimal places for numeric content
  • Add prefix and suffix text to the content. For example: you may add the currency prefix to amount in words etc.
  • Format the date styles – MM/DD/YYYY, DD-MMM-YY etc.
  • Set word wrapping
Print contents from transactions
Select what to print from transcations. You can add a dynamic field in the template that prints transaction content, such as the Party name, address details, product details, totals etc. Choose from pre-defined functions such as the page numbers, transaction time etc. to be printed.

Specify conditions
Specify conditions and filter the content that prints. For example, you may wish to print product details with a specific brand or group, print details of items sold at a a specific location etc.

Apply Formulae
Add your own formulae to print. You can specify formulae on the content with the help of operators such as +, -, * / etc.

Hide content
You may choose to hide fields while printing. You may unhide them whenever required by reopening and modifying the template.

See Preview
See a preview of the template before you attach it to any transaction.

Save as many copies of the template as required for future use. Save time in redesigning the templates. Export the saved templates and import them at your other branch offices or locations.

The templates can be designed for the following modes of printing.

Graphical Mode
Design templates that you wish to print using graphic printers like laserjet, inkjet etc.

Draft Mode
You may design templates to print using dot matrix printers – a small-sized 40 column printer, an 80 column standard printer or a large-sized 132 column printer.

Roll Mode
Design templates to print using a roll printer. You may design to print on a roll paper using a standard 40 column roll printer or even a thermal printer. For example: a POS bill.

For any of the above modes, you can design the templates to be printed either on pre-printed stationery or on a plain paper. Forms Designer is an invaluable tool to help you use the software in a real-life environment without undertaking extensive customisation.

Labels Designer

Wings Labels Designer allows you to design and print labels of all kind – product labels, barcodes, price tags, etc. that you can tag to your products, assets, employee Id cards etc.

The flexible, easy-to-use graphic based Labels Designer also helps you to design and print various other documents such as statutory forms, payslips etc.

You can design unlimited label templates and assign them to desired reports for printing. For example, you can design barcode labels to print barcodes for the quantity of each item received from your supplier, or payslips to be generated and printed for all your employees etc.

The labels can be printed using any printer – laser jet, ink jet, dot matrix etc. and on any kind of paper – pre-printed, plain, thermal etc.

Print Designer

The Print Designer is a powerful tool which gives you total control over how you want to print your reports. It allows you to pull fields/columns from transactions or reports and design print formats on the fly, as you desire. The Print Designer is an easy-to-use, graphic based, drag-drop utility which allows you to simply drag and drop the desired fields/columns from any transaction or report, format the design as per your needs, set various properties such as colours, fonts, sizes, borders, shapes etc.

With Wings Print Designer, you can do the following:

Add Page Header

You can add details in page header that you wish to print on every page. For example, the company title, address and contact details, transaction number, party name, address and contact details etc. You may also add static text, logos, images, shapes etc.

To add a field to the header, you just need to drag the desired field/column and drop in the header section of the designer. Once the field is added, you can alter various of its properties.

Add Footer Details

In the footer section, you may choose to add summary information such as the total amount, total tax, total discount, terms and conditions, authorised signatory etc.

You can also do the following:


You can apply grouping on desired field/column in the designer. The data will be printed by

grouping applied on selected fields/columns. For example, if you wish to print details by grouping on products.

You can do sorting on fields/columns in the desired order – Ascending or Descending. Data will be printed by sorting applied.

You may choose to add a barcode field to print. For example, if you wish to print barcode labels to be tagged to your products. Or, if you wish to print the barcode of your bill number. You can simply drag and drop the Barcode tool into the designer and set its properties.

Add pictures to your print formats, such as your company logo, employee image or product pictures etc.

Add Graphs
To make the print more informative, you can also apply graphs in the designer. The graphs applied are shown in real-time and are printed too.

View as HTML
The applied configurations in the designer can be viewed in HTML format.

Add Scripts
You can also choose to add your own scripts to the designer to modify the look and feel of the print.

The Print Designer helps you save the applied configurations with a new name for future use.

The Print Designer helps you to print the saved designs any time when required. You may also see a preview before printing.

You can export the saved designs and import them at your branches or locations without having to redesign the whole stuff.

With Wings, you can send out SMS’s (text messages) to employees, customers, suppliers etc. Singly or in bulk. While entering transactions or from reports. SMS’s may include data from the system and with your own text added. SMS’s may be about anything – items ready to deliver, reminders about outstanding payments, birthday or anniversary greetings, etc. SMSs can be sent from transactions and from reports.

SMS can be used to send Alerts, Notifications, Reminders, to run campaigns etc. Common examples:

  • Delivery Intimations
  • Payment Reminders
  • Stock Availability Notification
  • Promotions and Discounts Campaign
  • Salary Payment notifications
  • Birthday/Anniversary Greetings

Wings sends SMS’s using mobile numbers picked up from the masters.

Phone or Online Service
Wings can send SMS’s using a mobile phone or an online SMS service.

Two Types
SMS can be sent of two types:

  • General-to a group of people, with standard text
  • With content- to specific individuals, with specific data relevant to each individual.

Wings makes it possible for users to send SMS’s with their own text.

When you enter a transaction, you may set Wings to send out an SMS (using a preconfigured format and text) as soon as it is saved. This is very useful and adds yet another way in which you can communicate with customers and others. Examples:

  • When you create an invoice, an intimation can be sent out to customers.
  • When you delivery goods, there can be a delivery SMS.
  • When you generate payslips, an SMS intimation can go to employees.

You may send bulk text messages to your customers, vendors or employees instantly, from any report.
For example, you may send out bulk SMSs
with festival greetings to all customers and employees
messages about salary deposition to all employees
reminders to customers with overdue balances.

You can customize the message to be sent in following ways:

  • Set desired recipient column
  • Specify sender’s name
  • Set desired mobile number column
  • Configure your own message and set the message column in the report
  • Perform SMS delivery checks

User Rights

Give role-based user rights of access and use of the software to every user.

For example, let:

  • Cashier manage only cash
  • Store-keeper have no access to accounts
  • Sales person not have access to inventory or finance
  • Only authorised persons with their passwords have access to the system
  • Branch-based segregation of data ensures restricted data access
  • Digital signatures and SSL enabled security, optionally
  • Branch-based data segregation ensures that users have access to only data that is relevant to them and not others.

Transaction Authorization

OverviewWings helps you set up an authorization process for some or all transactions.

For example: when an expense entered by a user crosses a limit and needs to be authorized by the CFO. Or, when a leave application needs to be authorized by a manager

Transaction Authorisation ensures this is done online. Data remains un-posted till authorisation. Transaction Authorisation is an invaluable tool to help many people work on the same system real-time.

Your business processes may require some transactions done by one person to be authorized by another, often a superior. To enable you to do business on the software and not merely enter data later, Wings offers a powerful Transaction Authorization system, which helps you to set:

  • Individual transactions which require authorization
  • Executed or done by individual users
  • With specific parameters
  • Requiring authorization by another user

For example, you may want to restrict a purchase order of more than a given amount, done by a user, only after authorized to do so by a superior. The approval levels can be by branch, transactions and users. Transaction Authorization can also be Simple or Conditional.

Simple Authorizations
Simple Authorization enables you to apply basic approvals for transactions, irrespective of other criteria. Thus, you may specify that every cash payment by a particular user must be authorized by another user. If so, the transactions shall remain pending till approved.

Conditional Authorizations
Conditional Authorization enables you to apply approvals for transactions based on certain criteria. You can:

Set approvals for any transaction, transaction tab or any column within the transaction
Use operators such as etc. to apply authorizations based on conditions
Set conditional values for transaction fields/columns
Apply approval levels and sequences i.e. hierarchy of people who authorise the entries

You may specify conditions for transaction fields or columns such as rate, quantity, total invoice value, total cheque amount issued, etc. For instance, you may specify a condition on total sales quantity in a ‘Sales Invoice’.

Transactions for Approval
Whenever a user logs in who is required to authorize transactions done by another person, his system will show a list of transactions pending his approval. He can view the transactions online and approve or reject any transaction. All authorisation is done online.

Un-posted Data
All data shall remain un-posted till authorized by the authorizing user.

Wings offers reports giving lists of transactions authorized and pending authorization.

Transaction Authorization is optional. You may choose to disable it and not use it.

Linked Transactions

OverviewWhen you need to know the outstanding orders of a customer while making deliveries or outstanding receivables while making collections, Wings helps. It maintains a live link between sequential transactions. Pending transactions are shown in subsequent transaction screens for selection – resulting in increased usability, efficiency and fewer errors.

Linked Transactions ensure complete integrity between various functions in your organisation which are managed by different people and helps reduce errors dramatically.

Wings maintains a live link between all sequential transactions and keeps them tightly attached. Data relating to a prior transaction is carried forward and offered in a subsequent transaction for instant use.

Linked Transactions helps in increasing efficiency in data entry and reduces errors.

Sequential Transactions are those which happen one after another. For example, the purchases flow generally consists of Indents, Requisitions, Orders, Material Receipts, Invoices and Payments.

Similarly, sequential transactions exist in all functions covered by the software. Thus, offering you a flow-based and correct method of data entry.

Data Carried Forward

When you choose to use Linked Transactions, Wings carries forward relevant ‘pending’ data from a transaction to a subsequent transaction. For example, all pending orders for a customer are carried forward and displayed in the Deliveries transaction screen for the said customer. When you select one or more of the pending orders, the relevant data is filled up in the Deliveries screen instantly. This allows for instant offsetting.

In other words, you may set-off balances in the succeeding transactions such as, stock to be delivered, collections to be received, payments to be made, etc. fully or partially. Wings automatically stores and displays the balance information whenever you want to make the set-off in future.

You may select only those transactions from the pending list offered which you wish to set-off at the time of data entry.

Data Locked

Wings automatically locks the preceding data once used in any succeeding transactions. Thus, once a transaction is set-off against a subsequent transaction, the prior transaction cannot be edited. This is essential to maintain integrity of the data.

For instance, a sales order cannot be removed if set off in deliveries.

View Transaction Links
Wings offers Voucher Links to help you view all succeeding and preceding links for data entered in each transaction. This helps you get details of linked transactions which have been used by you for set-off.

Filter Pendings
Pending information in transactions is displayed based on several parameters such as, branch, currency, location, segments, date, party, etc. You may also set the parameters of your choice. This helps you to see only those pendings info which is relevant for you.


Linked Transactions is an optional feature. You may not want to use carried forward data. To give you a choice, Wings offers two kinds of transactions – one which are linked to prior transactions and one which are not. Thus, you will find ‘Sales Invoice Against Deliveries’ and ‘Sales Invoice’, in the menu. If you choose ‘Sales Invoice’, Wings will not offer you data relating to pending deliveries and you may just enter and create an invoice.

You may not want to use Linked Transactions, for example, if you wish to have the flexibility of editing prior transactions.

Wings helps you manage by exception. By giving you Alerts and Warnings when things happen in the system like for example, when a customer’s account balance exceeds the limits. Alerts enables you to get prompts and warning messages for a large number of events in the system. These help you manage by exception, ie, by looking only at things that are out of the ordinary which require to alert you. You may enable or disable Alerts whenever required.

Accounting Alerts
Accounting Alerts happen when you try to execute a transaction leading to customer balance or credit limits exceeding pre-set amounts.

Inventory Alerts
Inventory Alerts happen when you try to execute transactions leading to negative stock etc.


Pre-Defined Alerts
Set Alerts for events such as, stock going beyond reorder level, customer or supplier exceeding limits, batch expiry, visa or passport expiry, etc. Wings will prompt you warnings and messages automatically at the time of data entry.

User Defined Alerts
Change pre-defined Alerts, Warnings and messages to your choice. Set your own text for the messages for display to users. You may also configure messages for each user.

Override Alerts

You may wish to proceed with the data entry by ignoring certain alert messages. Wings helps you to set overriding options for alerts, for events within the software.

Grant permissions to override alerts. On enabling this, users can proceed with the data entry though the messages are prompted. For example, saving of sales invoice with negative stocks.

Restrict users not to save data by blocking transactions. This will prompt the user and restricts them to save transactions. For instance, a sales invoice should not be saved if the customer limit exceeds.

You may also set such options for each user.

Classifying Data
You can enter data and classify your transaction by specifying any one or more of the following segments.

  • Profit Centres
  • Cost Centres
  • Projects
  • Departments
  • Locations

Allocate Segments
Wings allows you to allocate an entire entry or some data of the transaction to only those segments which you wish to. For instance, you may allocate expenses related to each department or cost centre, incomes generated by branches, stocks delivered from each location, etc.

At the time of data entry, you can set the segments you wish to allocate the entire transaction data to. Wings automatically copies the segment you select to every line of every tab. Or, you may also manually select segments in desired tabs, to make separate allocations.

Segments for Pending Data
You can use locations, etc. for material orders, deliveries, invoices, collections etc. Wings stores and offers you pending data for set-off in future with the parameters you select. For instance, you may enter sales orders raised at a specific branch, stock to be delivered based on branch and location, etc.

Or, you can set-off only those pending information which are based on the combination of segments at the time of data entry.

Segmental Reporting
Wings provides in depth analysis of your data with the help of segmental reporting. You can take any report based on any combination of segments such as sales by profit center, Location wise stock availability, Project wise expense statement, Location wise stock movement, etc.

You may enable/ disable any segment within any module whenever you need with the help of Settings. Wings will hide all related fields within all the transactions and reports.

Wings supports full multi-currency operations. This enables you to do transactions and maintain your data in multiple currencies. You can maintain unlimited currencies in addition to your company currency, do transactions and take reports in base and other currencies.

Broadly, this feature supports:

  • Working with multiple-currencies
  • Multi-currency reports
  • Exchange rates and fluctuations
  • Default Currency

Wings allows you to set a default currency (i.e. the currency which you apply for your financial statements and other reports) for company or branch. In transactions, default currencies are automatically shown along with exchange rates. Alternatively, you may also set default currencies for different transactions by configuring them, for instance, ‘INR’ for ‘Sales Invoice’, ‘USD’ for ‘Purchase Invoice’, etc.

Currency Properties
You can maintain prefix, suffix and symbols for currencies. You may include these properties to print in documents, vouchers, invoices, etc.

Exchange Rates
Wings allows you to maintain any number of exchange rates for your currencies. You may set rates with ‘with effect from’ dates, to keep recording changes in exchange rates. The effective rate is automatically applied in transactions, based on the date.

Exchange Fluctuations
Wings automatically processes the currency rate differences based on the rates assigned for each currency and effective dates, and allows you to post such fluctuations to exchange fluctuation accounts. You may know whether the difference in currency rates is a loss or gain before for fluctuations.

Multi-Currency Transactions
Pay cash to your suppliers or other parties. The cash and party ledgers, party payables and cash book are automatically updated. While receiving cash, you may also adjust pending bills, such as list of purchase invoices or advances.

Multi-Currency Reports
Wings enables you to transact in any currency and take reports in any currency of your choice. For instance, you may enter sales in ‘INR’ and take Sales Book in ‘USD’, or ‘Euro’.

The multi-currency feature works effectively with all Wings products and is optional. You may enable or disable this feature using Features Management whenever required.

You may attach pictures or images with various kinds of masters and use them. For example, you may attach the picture of a product to the product master, of an employee to the employee master etc. These can be used while entering transactions, printing invoices, pay slips, employee id cards, product placards, price tags etc. A very useful feature.

Pictures (images) file types which Wings accepts are: BMP, Jpg, Jpeg.

Wings stores image files in the database for future reference and use.

Print in Documents & Labels, Reports
You may include pictures in documents like invoices etc. When you do so, Wings picks up the relevant image and print it the document.

You may also print Employee Id Cards by including pictures of employees. You may print Product Placards for your retail operations by including pictures in them.

You may even insert a column in any report to include the image. This can then help you generate reports with pictures. Typical reports which can be generated can be Product Catalogues, Employee Register or Handbook etc.

Picture-capability enhances the value of Wings further.

MS Office Integration


Wings integrates with MS Office easily. It enables you to export or import data to or from MS Excel and e-mail reports, invoices and documents using MS Outlook/Outlook Express.

Transaction Templates

You may create Transaction Templates and save them for future use as recurring transactions. An efficiency-increasing tool.

Create a transaction structure which you wish to use in the future as a Transaction Template.

Save the transaction as a template, by configuring fields, columns, applying default values to fields. The template will be available to you for your future use. Simply call the template, fill required values (other than fields with default values) and save the transaction.

You may use this facility for creating recurring journal entries etc.

Online Templates Gallery
Wings offers an online print templates gallery, which can be accessed from inside of the application. The gallery contains regular updates to transaction formats such as invoices, receipt/payment vouchers etc. These templates can be downloaded and attached to transactions. You can:

  • Connect to Wings server to view latest available formats.
  • Choose from desired print mode – Standard, Draft or Roll.
  • Preview of download desired formats and use them in your transactions.

Wings works with all peripheral devices like barcode scanners, cash drawers, pole displays, scanners, weighing machines etc. This helps it work across all business processes and industries seamlessly.

  • You can choose to install some devices now and others when required.

Barcode Scanners
Wings works with all kinds of barcode scanners including hand-held, mountable, fixed, etc. You can use and Scan barcodes of products (for billing etc), employees (for attendance, identity cards etc), fixed assets, identification etc. – for any purpose.

Barcode Printers
Wings works with all kinds of barcode printers – thermal, dot matrix or laser. You can print barcode labels from transaction or reports using any barcode printer.

Pole Display Units
Wings allows you to attach pole display units to computers for POS and retail operations. It automatically displays item quantity, rate and total amount payable at the time of billing. User-defined welcome and shutdown messages at the time of counter opening and closing is also possible.

Cash Drawers
You can open the cash tray automatically at the time of billing, with Wings. You may also open it manually using a Hot Key.

Biometric Devices
Connect and use your biometric devices with Wings. For example, you may use your biometric attendance machine to import employee attendance details etc.

Weighing Machines
Wings automatically processes and displays the item weight in transactions.

Credit Card/ Debit Card Swipe Machines
Details of credit and debit card such as card name, card holder name, type of the card, expiry date, etc. are automatically picked up when swiped.

Attendance Machines
Wings integrates with attendance machines by being able to import bulk attendance data generated by the machines.

Wings enables you to integrate any device with minimum effort and simple configuration steps, using an easy-to-use interface. You can enable devices to work with any Wings software.

Hardware Compatibility
Wings communicates effectively with most serial, parallel and USB ports supported by Windows such as COM1, COM2, LPT1, etc. You may have to install the devices and manually configure their port settings (if required) in Windows, for proper functionality.

It is advisable to first check on compatibility of your chosen device with Wings before purchasing.

Hugely Customisable

Wings is hugely customisable. The powerful Settings manager empowers you to enable or disable products, modules and features across the system. Besides Settings, users can easily customise the software for their individual needs. This includes configuring transaction screens, reports, Dashboard etc for each user.

You may set Date formats and decimal preferences for transaction fields like rate, quantity, etc.

Settings helps you to enable or disable any module or feature of the software with ease.
Features and modules disabled would not show in the software in any manner. It would not offer the menu choices, fields and reports relating to the disabled features. For instance, if you disable Taxes, you will not encounter any feature relating to taxes in the software. The Settings wizard helps you manage features across the software easily, step-by-step.

Enable or disable any module . All the features and functionality of the disabled module will be hidden till you enable it.

Default Segments
Select default segments that automatically needs to be filled while entering transactions.

General Settings
Manage features such as Comments, Additional Information, Reference Bill Details, Images, SMS, Codes etc. which apply across the  software.

Taxes and Prices
Enable or disable taxes and price lists that apply to your company or branch.

Manage features such as transport details, reasons, dispatch address etc. that are required for your logistics.

Manage features that apply to your financial transactions, such as PDCs, Bank Charges, Credit Cards, Interbank etc.

Manage features related to your purchase flow. For example: You may disable Purchase Requisitions, Enquiries and Quotations if they do not apply to your company.

Manage features related to your sales flow. For example: You may disable Sales Requisitions, Enquiries and Quotations if they do not apply to your company.

Manage features related to your inventory management. For example: You may disable Multiple Stock Management Units if you do not maintain them for your products, Services if you do not have any, Bins and Packages if you do not maintain etc.

Manage your inter-branch activities by enabling or disabled desired features, such as cash and fund transfers to other branches etc.

Transaction Screens
You can configure transaction screens to suit your requirements. This can be done in many ways as described.

Changes once made remain for future use, but can be reset to default.


Fields in Transactions
You can configure any field in any transaction for each user to do the following:

  • Change Caption (ie, text appearing against the field)
  • Hide or show the field
  • Show field in Header with Alignments (Left, Centre, Right)
  • Zoom (change font size of field)
  • Decimal place settings
  • Make fields Read-only or Editable
  • Make fields mandatory for entry in any transaction.
  • You can configure every field like this.

Columns In Tabs
You may customise columns in transaction. Change the width of columns simply by dragging it and Wings saves the changes.

Default Values
You may specify default values for any field in any transaction. Default values appear every time the transaction is used. You may specify default values for fields such as Party, Sales Account, Quantity, Rate, etc.

Hide Tabs
You can hide or unhide any Transaction Tab. For instance, you do not wish the Taxes tab to appear in any transaction, just hide it.

Extended Fields
You may wish to refer to connected or related fields from a master. For example, you may wish to view customer telephone number or city, etc while entering any data or while printing a document. You may enable this by using Extended Fields.

Extended Fields can be used in transactions as additional data, in printing, and even in formulae where you may use them.

Customise Reports
You can configure any report to suit your requirements. Save reports after making changes for future use. Such configurations can be done in many ways:

  • Format columns for size, font and colours.
  • Take reports in Tree view
  • Take final reports in T-Form (horizontal form).
  • Filter reports based on any criteria
  • Each time you make a change to report options, you get a new ‘view’ of the report
  • leaving you with multiple views of the same report.
  • Apply views such as Sort and Group.

Wings User Rights Management allows you to configure the various options for users to work on the system such as permissions to transactions and reports, user-specific data entry, drop-down lists, etc.

The Wings Dashboard can be configured for every user.

  • Add Favourite (frequently used) transactions or reports and invoke them without accessing from menu.
  • Add Quick Info related to your sales, receivables, cash and bank, etc. Update such information automatically with time intervals.
  • Add frequently accessed graphs and open them by simple double-clicking on the desired graph.

Draft Transactions
You may save transaction data temporarily. Wings stores all the information so that you can complete the transaction later.
